USD 458 is the fastest growing city and school district in Leavenworth County. The Legends area, east of our school district, is expanding with business and industry. The District’s location and commitment to education make us the logical choice for many new families moving to the area.
To this purpose, Basehor-Linwood has significantly expanded its facilities over the last several years. A bond issue, valued at $16 million was passed in April of 2015 to construct a Career and Technical Education addition to the high school and expand safety and security features in every attendance center in the District. In September of 2018, Bond 2018 was approved by voters to build an Early Learning Center, two new elementary buildings, the addition of 12 classrooms and a performing arts center at Basehor-Linwood Middle School, as well as a more secure entrance for Glenwood Ridge Elementary School.
