Each student develops and reaches their potential.

Basehor-Linwood USD 458 is located in southern Leavenworth County. The District contains 90 square miles and incorporates the cities of Basehor and Linwood. The resident student population is just over 3,000 students. In addition, Basehor-Linwood Virtual School enrolls nearly 200 students a year.

Michelle Kelly Awarded Kansas Master Teacher!

Michelle Kelly, Reading Interventionist at Glenwood Ridge Elementary School, has been selected as a 2026 Kansas Master Teacher! The Kansas Master Teacher Award is presented annually to seven teachers from across the state who demonstrate the attributes of exemplary professional educators.

Alyssa Beilfuss - Horizon Award Winner!

Alyssa Beilfuss, 1st grade teacher at Linwood Elementary, was recognized January 6th as a KSDE Horizon Award Winner! Beilfuss received a call at 9 a.m. in her classroom from Kansas State Department of Education Commissioner, Dr. Randy Watson! The Horizon Award recognizes exemplary first-year teachers who perform in a way that distinguishes them as outstanding.
