The Basehor-Linwood Board of Education approved the appointment of Jayme Breault as principal of Basehor Intermediate School beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. Breault is replacing Baileigh Faler who resigned her position at the completion of the 2025-2026 school year.
Breault comes from the Leavenworth School District where she most recently served as principal at David Brewer Elementary School. Breault previously worked in the Basehor-Linwood School District from 2014 until 2023, when she accepted the position at David Brewer Elementary. She first joined the Basehor-Linwood School District as a Gifted Facilitator for the Tonganoxie/ Basehor-Linwood Special Education Cooperative before teaching as an Innovation Specialist at Basehor-Linwood High School.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to come back “home” to Basehor-Linwood,” Breault said. “I look forward to collaborating with a wonderful group of colleagues at Basehor-Linwood. My focus as an educator has been to promote student growth and a cohesive working environment for staff.”
“Mrs. Breault has proven herself as a strong educator who is committed to her students and school,” said Superintendent Chris Vignery. “Mrs. Breault brings a tremendous amount of experience with her and we look forward to having her back in the Basehor-Linwood School District!”
