2 Schools, 1 Goal!

The Basehor-Linwood High School and Tonganoxie High School's FCCLA clubs (Family Career and Community Leaders of America) are partnering together to raise money for Suicide Prevention Month (September).
They will be making “Cupcakes and Cookies for a Cause” at their ‘Stressed is Desserts spelled backwards’ bake sale, which will be set up at the BLHS home FB game, Sept. 2 vs. Tonganoxie.
In addition to the bake sale, they will be lighting (flameless) candles for our ‘Be the Light’ (for someone struggling with emotional pain) campaign. These two clubs are working together to raise money for the Colten Foster Foundation, whose mission is to bring awareness about mental illness and suicide prevention, as well as promoting mental wellness and resiliency to youth in our community.
Look for the balloon arch that will be located on the north side of the walkway. Please come support your local FCCLA organizations and a great cause! Their goal is $1,000…let’s help them beat it!
