If your family speaks a language other than English in your home, Basehor-Linwood offers services to help support and increase your student's English language skills. However, in order to do so your enrollment process will be a little different.

Please follow the following steps:

1. Go to the appropriate grade-level building and fill out the enrollment paperwork. This can be done at the school or taken home and returned. If you wish to have an interpreter there with you to do so please let the secretary know and they will schedule one for you.

2. When you have completed your enrollment forms, turn them back into the school's office. If you indicated another language other than English on the Home Language Survey, your student will be tested immediately in order to determine the appropriate level of English language services your child will receive.

3. Once your student is tested, you will receive information about your student's English language proficincy level, what services they will be receiving, and information about their teachers. You will also be asked to sign a consent form in order for your student to receive these services. If you decline ESOL services for your student, you will receive a phone call verifying your decision.
