Help Us Name the New League!

Our school has agreed to join five other schools to form a new KSHSAA league for athletics and activities, beginning August 2018. The new, yet to be named, league includes: Basehor-Linwood High School, De Soto High School, Lansing High School, Leavenworth High School, Shawnee Heights High School and Turner High School.

Basehor-Linwood USD 458 is located in southern Leavenworth County. The District contains 90 square miles and incorporates the cities of Basehor and Linwood. The resident student population is just over 2,300 students. In addition, Basehor-Linwood Virtual School enrolls nearly 200 students a year.

USD 458 BOE Eliminates All-Day Kindergarten Fees!

The Basehor-Linwood Board of Education waived All-Day Kindergarten fees at their July meeting Monday, July 10. This comes as a result of the Kansas Legislature’s newly approved school finance formula that now provides funding for full day kindergarten.
