Vacations (GCRH)

Full-time employees of the board may be granted a paid vacation each year.

Noncertified employees contracted for twelve months and in their first through fifth year of service to the district, may accrue a total of two weeks (10 full working days) vacation per contract year. The ten (10) working days will accrue at a rate of one day per month during the first ten (10) months of the employees contract period. Vacation time will accrue from one year to the next. After a noncertified employee has served the district more than five years their vacation leave will be as follows: Eleven (11) days for six (6) years, twelve (12) days for seven (7) years, thirteen (13) days for eight (8) years, fourteen (14) days for nine (9) years and fifteen (15) days for ten (10) years service. Any additional time taken off without pay is at the discretion of the superintendent and shall be deducted at the hourly rate of the employee.

After a period of at least two contract years, and with the approval of the board, the clerk may be allowed an additional one week (5 working) days vacation.

Part-time employees accumulate vacation time at one-half (1/2) the rate of full-time employees.
