Attention seniors:  There will be a mandatory meeting for all seniors next Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. (not during Advisory)   It is important that all seniors be present at this meeting.  

Attention Seniors:  The buses for Silver Dollar City will leave at 5:00 am Friday morning.  Please arrive between 4:30 and 4:40 am.  If you are not here by 5 am we will NOT wait on you.  DO NOT bring backpacks, bags etc.  You will not be allowed to bring those with you.  Any questions please see Mr. Simpson!

There will be no golf practice today and no weights tomorrow for golfers.

Congratulations to the Bobcats JV Championship Softball team who won the Bonner Springs Softball Tournament last night!  Great job, kids!

The outside date forms for prom are available at the office window.  If you plan to bring a date that does not attend BLHS at this time, this form will need to be filled out and approved by an administrator before Wednesday, May 9th.

Juniors:  Due to late start this week, we had to move the Monday advisory program by Officer Ogborn to Monday, May 7.  He will present tips to help kids stay safe and sober during this season of proms, graduation, and other celebrations.  Report to your advisory Monday and then come with your class to the auditorium.

Required summer strength and conditioning meeting during Advisory next Thursday May 10th,  If you plan on participating in the summer program you must attend to get proper enrollment information.

Are you an animal lover?  Then help donate old dog/cat toys, blankets, newspapers and other items to Wayside Waifs.  See Ashton Morris, Morgan Markovich or Liz Morris for more information.  A box will be located at the front office for your donations.

Washburn University will be offering a 4 day Pre-Law Camp this summer from July 16-19.  If you are interested in attending, you may pick up a flier in the Counseling Office.  

There will be a meeting for cross country runners next Tuesday, May 8th, at 7:20 am.  In the meantime, see Coach Schwisow to sign up for summer strength and conditioning, the second daily session.  See Coach Schwisow this week.


If you are interested in exploring a specific career and want to see if shadowing a professional in that field is an option, please see Mrs. Silverforb.  Through the Leavenworth County Development Corporation, we might be able to arrange shadowing in this area.  There is a sign-up sheet in the counseling office for you to write your name and the field you would like to explore.
