Previously, parents would pay $153.78 monthly for their student to attend All-Day Kindergarten in the Basehor-Linwood School District. Parents have been notified of the change by email from the principal of the building in which their student will attend.
Parents continue to have the option of sending their children for just a half-day in the mornings. If parents indicated half day attendance on the kindergarten round up form, but prefer for their child to attend All-Day Kindergarten, they are encouraged to contact their building principal.
“We are excited that the Legislature has come up with a school finance formula and a tax plan to fund Kansas schools again,” Superintendent David Howard said. “All-Day Kindergarten programs offer more opportunities for increasing academic achievement and developing social skills in our young students, so it will be great that more families will be able to take advantage of this in our District.”
